I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
